For those actively practicing sports the biggest attraction will be Kasprowy Wierch with its ski slopes and for fans ski jumping hill complex on which the competitions take place, since the time of Adam Małysz providing lots of excitement.
Zakopane and its surroundings were the inspiration to many Polish artists, for example, Witkacy, Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer, Karol Szymanowski, Kornel Makuszyński, and Józef Tischner. Places connected with these characters are to this today a tourist attraction of the region. Meeting with traditional culture of highlanders and the specialties of regional cuisine will certainly make a trip more attractive.
